Acadia St. Landry Hospital is proud to announce the addition of Dr. Carrie Guidry to its medical team. A Church Point resident, with a passion for healthcare and community service, Dr. Guidry brings experience and expertise to Family and Geriatric Medicine at Acadia St. Landry Hospital.
Dr. Guidry holds a Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine. Her undergraduate studies in Psychology, English, Biology, and Chemistry reflect her diverse academic interests and her dedication to understanding the complexities of human health and wellness.
Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and the Louisiana State Board of Medicine, Dr. Guidry is qualified to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients of all ages. Her extensive volunteer experience in healthcare and community service organizations underscores her commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
After completing her residency in Family Medicine, Dr. Guidry pursued a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at LSU School of Medicine. Her research interests span neurobiology, molecular biology, and geriatric medicine, and she has contributed to several publications in these areas.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Dr. Guidry is connected to her Cajun culture and is dedicated to serving her community in meaningful ways. She enjoys exploring new skills, pursuing humanitarian endeavors, and engaging in activities that promote personal growth and wellness.
